The moments that shape who we are.
Every Day is a spoken-word piece written by Eli Rigatuso brought to life with video and stills along with a re-enactment, directed by Eli, of a couple of key points in his life. After coming out as transgender to his family and friends in 2015 at the tender age of 50. There were mixed reactions to his being authentic about himself and his gender identity and expression. He has always been one to use his life experiences to help elevate knowledge and awareness when it comes to the LGBTQ+ Community but after coming out as transgender it became apparent he needed to heal some trauma around his gender identity. This film expresses some of that trauma and shares the hero's journey to find himself. Today Eli identifies as a queer trans-masculine Two Spirit of the Menominee nation and as his story has evolved it has taken on a whole new meaning not only for himself but everyone around him.
