What kind of quality can I expect when streaming?
Our site uses adaptive bit-rate streaming to deliver the highest quality media that your internet connection and device can handle. Optimally, you'll see a high-definition picture up to 1080p with stereo audio. While you're streaming, we'll monitor your bandwidth to make certain you're getting the best stream possible - if your connection and/or device require, we'll adapt send an appropriate stream to optimize your viewing experience.
What devices can I watch these titles on?
Titles can be watched on your computer browser, tablet, or smartphone.
How long will I be able to view the films?
Great question! All selected feature and short films will be viewable Thursday 7/7th - Sunday 7/10th at Midnight, with 1-2 exceptions for filmmakers who requested their films only be shown during certain days. Viewing dates for all films are listed on their respective pages.
How can I view a Festival on FestiVee using my TV?
There are many different ways to cast from varying devices to varying types of big screens. Here are some general instructions:
Smart TV:
If you have a Smart TV, use a web browser app to access the festival website using the festival's URL.
Screen Cast:
If you have an Apple TV, Chromecast, or a smart TV enabled with AirPlay or Chromecast, set your computer, mobile device or browser to “AirPlay” or “Screen Mirroring” or “cast” to the TV device.
HDMI:
You can also directly connect a laptop or computer using an HDMI cable by doing the following:
- Make sure your computer is close enough to your Television for the HDMI cable to reach between them safely.
- Connect one end of the HDMI cable into an available HDMI port on the TV. Take note of the HDMI input number it is being connected to.
- Plug the other end of the cable into your laptop's HDMI out port.
- Set the TV to the HDMI Input port that the computer is connected to using the source or display button on your TV remote. (Note: **If your computer's display does not automatically appear on your television screen, you may need to have the computer manually detect the display.)
You can test your device(s) for compatibility with our platform by:
- Confirming that you are able to make a purchase.
- Confirm that you are receiving confirmation emails once a purchase has been completed.
- Watch a trailer from one of the purchased films.
Open up a web browser on your smart TV and enter your festival URL.
Can I buy individual tickets?
This year, we are only offering 1 full access pass for $25. We will not be selling individual tickets.
